چکیده
Earthquakes are a great challenge for the safety of nuclear reactors. To address this challenge, we need to better understand how reactor core responds seismic forcing. The is made fuel assemblies, which themselves composed flexible rods immersed in strong axial flow. This gives rise strongly coupled fluid–structure interactions whose accurate modelling generally requires high computational costs. In paper, introduce new model able capture mechanical response subjected forcing with low based on potential flow theory fluid part, and Euler–Bernoulli beam structural allowing us predict presence linear equations solved Fourier space decrease time. experimental and numerical investigation of aerodynamic characteristics of a circular cylinder in an axial flow
in this study, aerodynamic characteristics of a circular cylinder in an axial flow have been investigated numerically and experimentally. the model has been considered as a cylinder with truncated nose and fineness ratio of 3 (length to diameter ratio of 3). the investigation involves a series of wind tunnel measurements, flow visualization, and numerical simulation. we used different mach numb...
متن کاملThe Effect of Axial Force Variations on Nonlinear Modeling and Seismic Response of Reinforced Concrete Structures
In order to increase the accuracy of evaluating seismic response of structures, it is critical to conduct dynamic analyses based upon precise nonlinear models being as consistent as possible with the real conditions of corresponding structures. The concentrated plasticity model including one elastic element and two nonlinear spring elements at both ends has been considered within the research c...
متن کاملTaylor–Couette flow with axial oscillations of the inner cylinder: Floquet analysis of the basic flow
The linear stability of the flow in the annular gap between two infinitely long cylinders, driven by the constant rotation and harmonic oscillation in the axial direction of the inner cylinder, is analysed using Floquet theory. Closed form solutions for the basic flow are derived, both with and without the presence of endwalls. Recent experiments and theory using the narrow gap approximation ha...
